Frequently asked questions.

What airport do I fly into?

Ngurah Rai International Airport (sometimes shown as Denpasar or Bali)

Do I need a Visa?

Many nationalities are not required to have a visa to enter Indonesia if staying for tourism for 30 days or less. Please check with Indonesian authorities in your home country.  You must have a valid passport with at least 6 months remaining validity before expiry.

When do I arrive and depart?

You can check into the retreat venue starting at 3pm on Sunday, April 7th. We will start the retreat with a welcome dinner at 7pm. Check out is at midday  Saturday, April 13th. For those who are staying in Bali, you are welcome to join us at Sundays Beach Club for an unofficial get together after the retreat.

What is the Local Currency?

The Indonesian Rupiah is the currency of Bali. 1 USD is equivalent to approximately 15,000 IDR.  You can exchange currency at the airport or bring it with you from home. There is no currency exchange at the villas, but nearby in the main tourist areas, you can find ATMs and banks. You are not able to pay for things in USD in Bali.

When should I book my flight?

DO NOT book your flight until you have received a confirmation email from Badass Retreats as we need to reach a minimum number of participants booked in order to proceed with our dates.

If you need assistance with travel arrangements we are happy to help you arrange your flight. Please email us at info@badassretreats

Do I need travel insurance?

It is always recommended to take travel insurance when visiting a foreign country, so we encourage you to do so.

Do I need to be in good shape?

A clean bill of health from your doctor to do physical activity is required, and a regular consistent workout routine is encouraged.

Is Bali safe for tourists?

Yes. Please check your government’s recommendations for traveling to Bali.

What is the weather like in Bali?

The weather is amazing in April with hot sunny days and warm evenings. A light layer in the evenings would be useful.

How does one get around in Bali?

Many tourists rent scooters to get around as most locals do. You may also take taxis if going on excursions away from the accommodations.

Please note: Airport transfers are NOT included in the retreat price (as some people will be on the island already). Please let us know if you need help arranging your airport transfer. Transfers are 250,000 rupiah (around $16 USD). The hotel can help you book a taxi or rent a scooter if you need to get around during your down time.

How much money do I need to bring to Bali?

As most things are included in the retreat price for the duration of the retreat, you’ll only need money for extras such as any alcoholic drinks (obvs not during our detox days!!!), fresh coconuts, massages, or any little side trips / activities you want to do in your free time.

Will I have WiFi?

Yes, all villas have WiFi.

Are minors allowed to attend?

Mature minors 15 and over are allowed to attend with parental consent. However, it should be noted that there will be no chaperones so parents or guardians are encouraged to attend with their minor.
